This past weekend Brett and I flew to KC to see mom, dad and Molly and spend some time together. Molly had her bachelorette party and as Matron of Honor and ring bearer, we couldn't miss that either :) Actually, Brett had a big date back with "Pop-Pop" - my dad/Grandpa Steve. They hung out with Molly's fiance' Steve and their dog Murphy too. This picture is from the first night there. My dear friend Liz from High School also came over to spend some time with us while we were back. It was a great night of hanging out, eating pizza and chatting - nice way to kick off the short but wonderful trip back home for the weekend.
Grandma Bon-Bon/my mom, found this step stool to be of great fascination for little Brett. He loves climbing on anything and this being only 1 foot tall gave him a safe and fun toy. G'ma also had a lot of neat toys for Brett to play with as well as all the items we needed for the weekend like a carseat, pack and play etc. Sure made my two armed travel a lot easier... I always say, we mom's should trade appendanges with octopus moms :)
Brett loves to be up in the action. Aunt Molly played with him and laughed a lot.
The "Basinger Ladies" - that's my middle name now and Molly only has two more months of it. Big night out for Molly's bachelorette on Sat. night. We went down to the Power and Light district of KC. It's a newer area that is really exciting and very action packed. Mom and I even made it until 2 a.m. that night. Molly had a great time and enjoyed her last big night out before the big event on Oct. 24th.
Here is Whitney, the Maid of Honor and Molly and me.....Whitney did an incredible job with the bachelorette party. She found the locations, booked it and made it all possible. What a great night! She already threw another party for Molly a few weeks ago...she is making up for my lack in ability to host parties and showers in serious style. Thanks Whit!
