We're now up with Grandpa Florida and Grandma Nettie in
Citra, Florida. This is a view of part of the ranch - it is so lush and pretty. We all loved helping and tagging along on gator checking on cattle and doing chores! They stay very busy there and we enjoyed being along for the ride!

This is Brett's
heifer that they gave him for his birth....isn't she a beaut!! It was neat to see the one that belonged to Brett live and in "person" :)

Here's Grandpa Florida in action throwing down feed for the mama cows....we stayed put in the gator because it was kinda crazy to see these huge, pregnant animals running around to get food. I remember how that was when I was hungry and pregnant and I don't weight 1200 pounds!! Watch out for a stampede!!!!

Family pic on the gator - do I see
Christmas card on this one or what?! Totally felt like City Slickers....Jeff(Josh's dad) and I laughed about how I was working on my accent and country jargon and swore I would be a ranch hand before I left! HA

Check out the couch potatoes....these guys were enjoying the time together lounging around. Too funny to see three generations of
Vermillion's doing what they do best - CHILLING! Loved it!

This big
ol' Bull wanted to be part of the pic.... Jeff and Brett petted him on the head as well. Gutsy! Grandma Nettie kept Brett safe from the big boy! Funny enough, Brett was daring enough to touch the Bull but shyed away from the horses when he and G'ma Nettie were out there. Who knows what that was all about?!

G'pa Florida and Grandma Nettie bought a fun black angus heifer that Brett felt less intimidated by....it didn't move, didn't moo and was just his size. Jeff and Lynette just bought it a couple of weeks ago and intend to build it up with a brick stand for a great display.

Brett and Grandpa Florida up in the cab of the tractor....no wonder why Brett spent the whole week make a motor sounds. He was in hog heaven with all the guy stuff that he was experiencing for the first time.....
zooooom,
zooom.

Our first day there, we all took off with an empty trailer for a cattle auction. We came home with three mama cows and one baby....two of them were preggers. What a load that was! Brett started yelling during the auction, so we had to scoot outta there...thank goodness we didn't end up buying one! Don't think that fits the Southwest Airlines weight limit restrictions!!

Check out little Brett learning a thing or two in the barn. Grandma Nettie showed Brett the ropes and the work that it takes to own horses.

Uncle Juice came up from
Pinellas Park to spend the day with us at the Ranch. It was fun to spend one more day with him :) What a great pic - Brett just loves all the attention and play time from his Florida Family!

Daddy and Brett driving the tractor - Brett is ready to stay awhile longer and earn his keep!

The last night there we went out to a hibachi grill. It was a blast to see Brett's face with the flaming onion pyramid and egg being flipped in the air and cracked on the spatula! The food was very yummy and we had a really nice night together!

Good-byes are so hard!! Here we are at the Orlando airport - heading off to Ohio. We had a wonderful visit with our Florida Family and surely enjoyed the precious time we had together. Surely wish Florida wasn't so far away. We love you guys and thanks again!
