Thought I would post a little bit before all the action really starts around here. Brett turns one this coming Friday the 26th. My mom and dad and Josh's mom and step dad will be in town for the big celebration. We are having his beach party on Sat. morning at Coronado Beach with lots of friends and kids. We are really looking forward to it. Then, we leave for Kauai for 9 days. More postings to come - especialy the "baby eating first cake/cake all over face" pic!
This picture below was on a car on our walk home from downtown after the Padre's game on Father's Day. Hilarious! Guess this one is already taken... the gal that owned the car saw us taking pictures and leaned out from her apartment window to see what we were up to. She is a big Brett Favre fan and got these plates in his honor... Sorry Brett Vermillion. We still got a real kick out of it regardless!
Brett and Daddy celebrating Josh's first Father's Day - at none other than a Padre's Game. How appropriate - Padres means Father in Spanish :) Beautiful day and the Pad's won!
Brett and me laying on our blanket with a lot of other families at "Park in the Park". Not great seats for watching the game, but fun to play with his stackable cups that he crawls with like Clydesdale hooves. :)
Josh and me hiking with the little guy at El Moro/Laguna Beach area of Orange County. Great hike - we were loving the views and quite a work out carrying that "little" guy!
Finally, the sun is starting to come out so that we can get out of "May Gray and June Gloom" mode. We went up to Corona Del Mar to get together and spend time with our good friend John. We had a nice time visiting, getting the Orange County tour of Balboa Island, Pelican Hill Resort etc. OC is so "OOC" out of control....bling bling baby! This is a pic of John and me and Brett too.
Loved this one - Brett is just reaching out to give you all hugs. He can't wait to squeeze his grammas in person here in a few short days. Surprised he wasn't trying to rip that hood off. He doesn't understand how they work and usually tries to pull it forward like a hat. Funny!
Another one of Brett's favorite things is reading books at night as part of the bed time routine. He even helps us and flips each page of the book for us....couldn't do it without him, or more like don't want to! So sweet!
More of Brett's favorite things - CHOCOLATE! Mommy gave him some help with this one...the sweet tooth is given to him honestly!
Now this next one is all DADDY! Josh is the biggest pizza fan I know. We found a new place to go to just a short walk away. Brett approved! How does that go..."kid tested, mother approved"?
