We hope everyone has been doing great this last month or so! Things are going really well around here. We had an awesome month of skiing, visits from G'ma Anne and my best friend Jen from St. Louis. Brett has been nothing shy of a little pistol....but who could expect anything less?! Below is a pic of his new haircut, which was long over due. The surfer looks was not quite suiting him, the clean cut look is much more his style.
Loved this pic as he looked off in the distance to show his new do! What a neat little place to get kids haircuts..."Pigtails and Crewcuts". They really went out of their way to keep Brett happy - bubbles, cookies and songs!
He's just feeling relaxed here...that is until they brought out the clippers, which led to some tears shed!
Truly amazed by the bubbles floating around him. Gotta love the innocence of a child and all that excites them!

Look, hey really needed quite a bit taken off! It was getting kinda funny!

Our friends had a connection to the Birch Aquarium here in San Diego and we got to see special things behind the scenes. We had never been there before. It was a really neat experience. Ella, Livi and Brett were taking it all in!
We found the actual "Vermillion Rock Fish" - this time it's alive....
Sea horses all resting at the bottom of the tank!
Can you tell which one is the plant and which one is the sea creature? Never seen anything like it? These come from Austrailia and are very rare and hard to come by...

One heck of a jelly fish....don't want to run into this guy in the ocean!

Here I am letting this octopus suction onto my hand. I had Brett in my other arm, so I was at the mercy of everyone else to help peel it off from me.... I think the celebrities are into some suction thing like this with leeches. Crazy!!
Here's Brett in time out. How rude are we to be snapping shots of him in a bad mood! Doesn't he look thrilled or what?!
Yet another one of Brett in full effect, with his personality "shining"! He was really ticked off at us...probably because he had him half dressed and he felt a little silly running around with no pants on!

Brett learned a new phrase when G'ma Anne was here - "ta-da". Anytime he stands up high on anything...he puts his hands up and yells, "ta-da". Pretty funny...
If you look closely, Brett has his cheesy smile going as he and dad pose for the pic with the "ta-ruck"! Boy does he love trucks, motorcycles, buses, etc. He is a man of many wheels..
Here's the ornery one playing below the kitchen table. He now likes to climb up on our bar level chairs and try to sit there with us....he can barely see to the height of the table. Talking about a little one trying to be big!
Who knows what this is all about....maybe the Buckeyes missed a shot during all of this March Madness! Nonetheless a funny pic!

Wow, look at all that hair blowing in the wind! G'ma and Brett and Josh and I all went for a long beach hike the last day that G'ma was here. We had a blast during her visit but really only got nice weather her last day here.
G'pa Mahlon and G'ma Anne made an awesome train for Brett's room...from scratch. The wood is recycled from old pallets and hand painted! It is just beautiful and so neat! Trust me, it is on display until Brett is big enough to know how much time and love went into making that...that he knows not to ruin it! We love it, thanks again!

Another fun shot from the beach area we love going to - Sunset Cliffs! It is a favorite place for great views and hard walking hills etc. These guys were just playing around while I tried to play photographer.

A great one of G'ma and Brett at a park, just playing and enjoying the nice sunny day!

All of us out and about at Gaslamp the last night with G'ma Anne in town!

Brett is trying to work the style. Actually, he looks really silly and I think he knows it! What a goof ball!

Last but not least, a few from our visit with Jen. She came here with her mom and sis in law to celebrate her mom's 60th b-day. We had a great time just going all over San Diego and enjoying the wonderful weather. The few days that they were here were the nicest we've had all winter. They even got to play at the beach/pool etc. It was awesome to spend time together and for her to hang with Brett. I surely miss her and wish that we lived closer. I hope to get to St. Louis again soon to spend more time with her and her daughter, Avery that just turned one last month!

Sunset Cliffs Sunset....best place around :)

And to end the pics from the last month or so....one that will make you laugh - Brett being his mischievous self! It's really true, turn your head for 10 seconds and looks what happens. I was cleaning sand out of every nook and cranny all week! It's all in good fun - hopefully he learned that sand doesn't taste that great!

Lots of love from us to you guys and hope to be in touch later on in the month with more pics and stories from San Diego.
