Christmas Season has come and passed, what fun we had!

This month was a blast with birthday parties, get togethers with friends and of course Christmas! This turtle was made for Brett at Lila's (our friends Angela and Jason) daughter's 1st b-day party. Turtle is one of the first and best words that Brett pronounces, go figure! He had a good time playing with it. We were worried he'd pop it too close to an eye or something....but he was onto a new interest quickly. The toddler attention span is amazing!

Yum, Brett just devoured an awesome cupcake cone that Angela made for the party....

Yes, he actually loves fruit too.. despite the cupcakes, donuts, chocolate...and the list goes on!

Busted - does he look innocent or not?! He collects all his balls and never a better place to put them than in his fort~

Just chilling in the fort that Daddy had ready for him when he got back from a business trip. Boy, was Brett pumped!

We got invited over to our new friend's Brad and Sheri for dinner and their son Cash and Brett had a good time playing and having their own conversations.

Brett was really excited for James's 3rd birthday party. Look at that goofy smile!

One of the neat boats from the San Diego Bay boat parade. What a lot of work to decorate, but it sure was a pretty sight to see and a really fun night with friends and family.

Wide eyed yet very tired. The boat parade kept Brett's attention. He loved it and had a great time hanging with our friends Kelley and Steve. He was definitely ka-put before all the boats were done parading!

There's that smile..a little bit of sweet and a lot of ornery! Just like that sweet and salty granola bar he is eating!

There's our little So Cal homey! I had to dress him up this way with the hat and all - Daddy got a good laugh out of it.

There's the wild dawg again...love the new clothes that G'ma Bon-Bon and Pop-Pop (my mom and dad) recently got him. Thanks again!

Family pic at the Christmas tree at the zoo. This was the first year that the San Diego Zoo did the Jungle Bells theme - night-time Christmas lights, ice carving, bell ringers and Santa! It was a great time.

We were warned by the photographer that Santa Scare is a point of no return for the little ones and this was the case with little Brett too! Mommy came to try to save the day after the immediate "I don't think so" reaction from Brett...

Gotta love the Hawaiian themed lights .....can you tell we were trying to find the spirit here in San Diego for our first Christmas not in the Midwest?!

Brett was so excited Christmas morning...he knew something was up, that's for sure. Presents...powdered donuts, what more could a man want?!

A Mommy and Daddy picture in front of the Hotel Del Coronado tree... Don't have many of just the two of us these days. Brett was invited, but he was being a little pistol!

The Hotel Del Coronado lit up for the Christmas Season....there is even an ice skating rink in the back, by the beach. I think it is $25 to skate - great deal! We watched from the sidelines..

Wall O' Cards...we have been doing this little tradition for a few years now. Pretty neat to see pics and notes from friends and family. It's so empty now that decor has been put away!
This present was a hit - in fact, such a hit that Doris and G'ma G both picked this exact present. Brett is loving his vrooming new Chucks Trucks! Thanks to you both!
Last but not least, the Christmas meal. Our dear friend John joined us for a hike at Torrey Pines on Christmas Day and then a great feast for dinner. We had Trader Joe's ham - really yummy, real mashed potatoes (my first time..), green bean casserole, fruit salad, bread and wine. John brought us some "Sprinkles" cupcakes and made us egg benedict the next day. Talk about a yummy food fest.

Now, we are onto a whole new year with a fresh start...memories to be made and wonderful times to be had. We think it would be a great beginning with a Buckeye victory....we shall see. Until we meet again, Happy 2010 and love to you all!
